Weekly Jewellery Classes

Our weekly term time jewellery classes are the best way to progress and learn in a way that suits you! Less prescriptive than our one day workshops, these weekly sessions allow you to build essential skills and work on projects that you want to work on. We encourage our students to build basic skills and then develop these further, to ensure they can create beautiful pieces of jewellery that are personal to them. Whether it is something you want to do as a hobby or something you would like to build into a business, our team of tutors are here to support you on your jewellery making journey.

We empower our students to have courage in their creativity and we love sharing our passion for making unique pieces of jewellery. We also maintain that it's not just about the jewellery, when you join our weekly classes, you are joining a community of like minded people, coming together to create beautiful pieces and build friendships along the way.

With small class sizes of just five students per session, our tutors are there to guide and support you.

Our studio is a warm and welcoming space that is well equipped with tools to help you create your pieces. We invest in equipment that will help our students along the way and we are committed to developing our studio further.

We offer both group and individual support for your projects. Our selection of tools and equipment is aimed at enhancing your jewellery-making experience, and we frequently update our equipment to help you explore new techniques and develop your skills!

In the first session, you will receive copper to start with, along with all the necessary information to order materials for the rest of the term and your chosen project/s.

All sundries such as solder, saw blades, emery paper, polishing materials etc, will be included.

Material costs vary based on your project, but as a guide, you can expect to spend around £15-20 on materials. Your tutor will discuss what you need, giving you a better idea of the budget. We also allow you to bring in heirloom jewellery to repurpose and recycle, usually in week 2/3, and your pieces must be hallmarked so we know what materials we are working with. We do have the ability to test precious metals if necessary.

Our term time courses usually run for 6 or 7 weeks, depending on the term - we tend to follow the local school terms. We have the following sessions running:

Monday 10:00 -12:00

Thursday 10:00 - 12:00

Thursday 12:30 - 14:30

Our small class sizes ensure each participant receives personalised support and current students get the chance to re-enrol first before we launch any available places. If the class is full, please email admin@northwestjewelleryschool.co.uk to join the waiting list.

Please note these sessions are only suitable for those aged 18 and over.
