Our regular classes are a place where students can build on skills each week. Beginners will be taken through traditional jewellery making techniques to enable them to progress and start to work on their own projects. People with prior experience will be able to able to develop existing skills and and work on projects with help from our tutors.
What's included?
Full tuition as a group and individual support to help you with your projects. We have a range of tools and equipment to enhance your jewellery making experience and we are always adding to our equipment to enable you to try new techniques and add to your skills!
Copper will be provided during the first session to get you started and you will be given all of the information to enable you to order materials for the rest of the term and for your projects.
As a guide, you can be expected to make 2-3 pieces in a term, depending on how complex they are - your tutor will help you with this on week one. Your materials spend for sterling silver stacking rings, a simple bangle, spinner rings, sea glass pieces can range between £5 and £25 - the price of bullion changes daily but when planning your project/s on week one, your tutor will help you with your ordering process. Our weekly classes also enable students to recycle heirloom jewellery and we encourage you to bring this in to share with your tutor who will advise you on whether it can be repurposed.
