About the event

Come and join us for this silver clay taster session.

The art of silver metal clay is a fun way to explore the world of jewellery making. This jewellery making technique allows you to create wonderful textures and designs using silver clay, which is soft and malleable. Once fired, it turns into 999 hallmark quality fine silver.

On this three-hour workshop, you will learn the basics to help you create a fine silver pendant and a small pair of earrings. You will design, roll, texture, drill, file and torch fire before polishing your pieces.

Taught by our expert silver clay tutor, Rae Evans and founder of Rae of Light Jewellery, you will be guided through the process and given support throughout the session.

During this 4-5 hour workshop you will make a fine silver pendant and a pair of fine silver earrings but students have been known to make more depending on how large their items are. All silver clay, a sterling silver chain and earring findings are included.
